La biodiversité pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture désigne la diversité du vivant (des gènes aux écosystèmes), ainsi que la diversité des connaissances associées (les savoirs et savoir-faire traditionnels). Les rapports au monde du vivant évoluent, passant d’une conception figée de la nature à une vision plus dynamique. Menacée par les activités humaines, la biodiversité était perçue comme une somme d’éléments indépendants, à protéger, utiliser et valoriser.
